After all, God himself is the one who’s at work among you, who provides both the will and the energy to enable you to do what pleases him. There must be no grumbling and disputing in anything you do.—Philippians 2:13–14
Brainy Tip: Attitudes affect decisions.
Have you ever wondered why you just said that terrible thing, or did something you know you shouldn’t have done? Do you ever wish you could go back in time and change your reaction? Do you ever think, What just came over me?
Toxic moods affect our ability to think clearly and make good decisions. Good decisions don’t just happen—you prepare for them by carefully checking your attitude, which is a reflection of your character or your worldview. Healthy attitudes lead to good, healthy decisions. And, in the same way, destructive toxic decisions can be traced back to bad attitudes.
Watch your attitude, for it has the power to affect your life.
