Day 355

Some seed fell on rocky soil, where it didn’t have much earth. It sprang up at once because it didn’t have depth of soil. But when the sun was high it got scorched, and it withered because it didn’t have any root.—Matthew 13:5–6

Brainy Tip: If you stop working on something daily, the memory will denature and die.

You can’t just apply a thought once and think change has happened. It takes repeated work to build healthy thinking patterns. Each day something is happening to the thought in your nonconscious mind. If you give up at day four or five, which people often do, then the consequence will be that the memory denatures—which means it dies and becomes heat energy. Simply put, you forget; all the effort you put into changing your thinking literally becomes “hot air.” Giving up puts you two steps behind in life.
