About the Author

Kathi Oram Peterson has a healthy respect for the law enforcement community. Her father served as a police officer and also worked for the government for many years, so she knows the stress and pressure put on those charged to enforce the law. Though her father was never put in such difficult situations as those found in this book, she wanted to show how brave and noble these people are and honor them in this novel.

After her children finished school, Kathi earned her English degree at the University of Utah. She worked for several years writing and editing children’s books for a curriculum publisher. Upon leaving the workforce, she turned her attention to writing novels. She currently resides in Salt Lake City.
