About the Author

Growing up in Vermont, ERIK E. ESCKILSEN played soccer for the South Burlington High School Rebels, a team whose soldier mascot wielded a Confederate flag. Having hung up his cleats, Erik now lives, writes, and teaches college writing in Vermont.
