Arrival
Having just arrived, they looked exhausted. But the dunes, house, and beach faded the packing, traffic, and screaming.
“Our groceries are here,” she observed, seeing stacked bags on the sand.
“Why didn’t they take them up?”
The landlady appeared, feet bare, swimsuit dripping.
“You’re here next week!” she yelled.
