Making Lunch
Jack Kerouac suggested the title Naked Lunch for William S. Burroughs’ novel. Allen Ginsberg, who was editing the book with Kerouac, asked what the title meant. Kerouac said they would figure it out later. And Burroughs? He was in the kitchen slapping lettuce and tomato on reality sandwiches.
