A spotted, white orb gleamed through the thick fog on an Autumn evening in San Francisco. Two Midwestern tourists, out for a charming stroll, found themselves perturbed by its eerie glow. An eccentric local, impoverished, and beltless, slept face down on a piece of cardboard, apparently unaware of his condition.
