Sled Dog Couch Dreams

Nila patrols a dog yard with two dozen kaleidoscoped husky eyes. “Eat!” she barks, “temperatures’ll drop to thirty below tonight!” She watches her friends lick their bowls clean and enter a straw-stuffed barn under the Aurora. Nila nests next to a wood-stuffed stove, and dreams.
