They met unannounced on a jungle trail in ‘68, both instantly frozen in fear at the sight of the other. He fired fifteen rounds, and fifteen rounds were returned. Neither of them hit shit. They laughed as one at their foolishness and retreated into the bush. They would live to kill another day.
