Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.
Make 4.
Rnd 1: With paddy green and J hook, ch 10, join (see Pattern Note) in first ch to form a ring, 27 sc in ring, join in back lp (see Stitch Guide) of beg sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 3, 2 dc in same st as ch 3, *sl st in back lp of next sc, sk next sc, 3 dc in back lp of next sc, rep from * around, join in 3rd ch of beg ch 3. Fasten off.
Split Christmas red into 2-ply lengths. With G hook and 2-ply length, ch 45. Fasten off. Tie into bow and sew to top of wreath.
Sew 3mm gold beads around wreath.
Make 4.
Row 1: With paddy green and I hook, ch 11, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each rem ch across, turn. (10 sc)
Row 2: Ch 1, sc dec (see Stitch Guide) in first 2 sts, sc across to last 2 sts, sc dec in last 2 sts, turn. (8 sc)
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn.
Row 4: Rep row 2. (6 sc)
Rows 5–9: Sc in each sc across, turn.
Rows 10 & 11: Rep row 2. (2 sc at end of row 11)
Row 12: Sc dec in last 2 sts. Fasten off.
With gold metallic braid and G hook, ch 14, join in first ch to form a lp, sew to top of bell. Sew jingle bell to bottom of bell.
Split jockey red into 2-ply lengths. With G hook and 2-ply length, ch 40. Fasten off. Tie into bow and sew to middle of bell.
Make 4.
Row 1: With paddy green and G hook, ch 9, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn. (8 sc)
Rows 2–9: Ch 1, sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn.
Row 10: Sc in each of first 7 sc, 2 sc in last sc, turn. (9 sc)
Row 11: Ch 1, 2 sc in first sc, sc in each rem sc across, turn. (10 sc)
Row 12: Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn.
Row 13: Ch 1, sc in each of first 6 sc, turn, leaving rem sts unworked.
Rows 14 & 15: Ch 1, sc in each sc across. Fasten off.
Rnd 1: With G hook, join white in first st at top of boot, ch 1, sc in each st around, join in first sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in each sc around, join in first sc. Fasten off.
Row 1: With Christmas red and G hook, ch 5, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each rem ch across, turn. (4 sc)
Rows 2 & 3: Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn. At end of row 3, fasten off.
With white yarn, sew heel to 4 sc left unstitched on boot.
Row 1: With Christmas red and G hook, ch 7, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each rem ch across, turn. (6 sc)
Rows 2–4: Ch 1, sk first sc, sc in each rem sc across, turn. (3 sc at end of row 4)
With white yarn, sew toe to boot.
Make 4.
Row 1: With Christmas red and H hook, ch 5, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each rem ch across, turn. (4 sc)
Rows 2–10: Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn. At end of row 10, fasten off.
Row 1: With orange and I hook, ch 2, sc in 2nd ch from hook, turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in sc, turn.
Rows 3 & 4: Ch 1, sc in each sc, turn.
Row 5: Sl st in 2nd sc to form flame point. Fasten off.
Row 1: With paddy green and H hook, ch 13, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each rem ch across, turn. (12 sc)
Row 2: Ch 1, sc dec in first 2 sts, sc in each rem sc across to last 2 sts, sc dec in last 2 sts, turn. (10 sc)
Row 3: Ch 1, sk first sc, sc in each of next 2 sc, turn, leaving rem 7 sc unworked.
Row 4: Ch 1, sk next sc, sc in next sc. Fasten off.
Row 3: Sk next 4 sc on row 2 of Base, join paddy green in next sc, sc in each of last 2 sc, turn.
Row 4: Ch 1, sk next sc, sc in last sc. Fasten off.
With WS facing you, use all-purpose thread to sew Candle to Base and Flame to top of Candle, as shown in photo.
Split paddy green into 2-ply lengths. With G hook and 2-ply length, ch 35. Fasten off. Tie into bow and sew to middle of candle.
Make 4.
Rnd 1: With Christmas red and I hook, ch 2, 7 sc in 2nd ch from hook, join in beg sc.
Rnd 2: With J hook, ch 3, (tr, ch 3, sl st) in same st as joining, *sl st in next sc, (ch 3, tr, ch 3, sl st) in same st, rep from * around, join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3. Fasten off.
With 3 strands each of red, green and yellow cotton embroidery floss held tog, embroider French knots (see illustration) in center of flower.
Make 4.
Split paddy green into 2-ply lengths. With G hook and 2-ply length, ch 9, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in each of next 2 chs, dc in each of next 2 chs, hdc in next ch, 3 sc in last ch, working in opposite side of foundation ch, hdc in next ch, dc in each of next 2 chs, hdc in each of next 2 chs, sc in each of next 2 chs, sl st in beg ch. Fasten off.
Make 4.
With I hook and 1 full strand each Christmas red and paddy green held tog, ch 55. Fasten off.
Tie into bow.
Make 8.
With I hook and 1 full strand each Christmas red and white yarn held tog, make ch 6½ inches long.
Split paddy green into 2-ply lengths. With G hook and 2-ply length, ch 45. Fasten off. Tie into bow.
Use matching all-purpose thread to sew 2 candy canes and bow tog as shown in photo.
Note: Make 12 green, 16 red and 28 white.
Row 1: With H hook, ch 25, dc in 4th ch from hook (beg 3 sk chs count as a dc) and in each rem ch across, turn. (23 dc)
Rows 2–10: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc in each dc across, turn. At end of row 10, fasten off.
Using matching all-purpose thread, sew 1 decoration to center of each white square.
With Christmas multi, using long running stitches, sew squares tog in 8 rows of 7 squares each, referring to Assembly Diagram.
Rnd 1: Working across top edge of afghan with I hook, join Christmas multi with sc in upper right-hand corner, 2 sc in same st, *sc in each st across to next corner, 3 sc in corner st, working down side edge, sc in ends of rows,** 3 sc in next corner sp, rep from * across bottom and up rem side, ending at **, join in beg sc.
Rnd 2: With H hook, sl st in next corner sc, (sc, ch 2, dc, ch 1, dc) in same st, [sk next sc, (sc, ch 2, dc) in next sc] around outer edge, working (sc, ch 2, dc, ch 1, dc) in center sc of each corner, join in beg sc. Fasten off.
