1½ oz each #327 light coral, #336 warm brown, #372 rose pink, #321 gold, #347 light periwinkle, #320 cornmeal
Medium (worsted) weight yarn:
33 oz brick red (MC)
1½ oz spruce
1½ oz light teal
Size I/9/5.5mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
Yarn needle
3 dc = 1 inch
Afghan is crocheted vertically.
Repeated CC sequence of Row 3 throughout afghan is as follows: spruce, light coral, warm brown, rose pink, gold, light periwinkle, light teal and cornmeal.
Front post treble crochet (fptr): Yo hook twice, insert hook front to back to front again around vertical post of indicated st, yo, draw up a lp, [yo, draw through 2 lps on hook] 3 times.
Row 1 (RS): With MC, ch 193, dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in each rem ch across, turn. (191 dc)
Note: Mark Row 1 with a scrap of CC yarn as RS.
Row 2 (WS): Ch 3, dc in each dc across, draw up a lp, remove hook, turn.
Row 3 (RS): Attach CC with sl st in first dc, fptr around 2nd dc 2 rows down, *ch 1, sk next dc 2 rows down, fptr around next dc 2 rows down, rep from * across, ending with sl st in last dc, fasten off, do not turn.
Row 4 (RS): Insert hook in first st of row, pick up dropped lp of MC, ch 3 (counts as first dc throughout), insert hook into top of next fptr and dc directly behind work a dc st, working over ch-1 sp of previous row, dc in next dc] rep across, turn.
Rows 5–97: Rep Rows 2–4 consecutively, ending after Row 2 rep. At the end of Row 97, fasten off.
