Meet Troy B. Marden

Troy B. Marden is a plantsman, garden designer, and author with a passion for plants. His more than twenty-five years of professional experience include time spent in nearly every facet of the horticulture industry.

Not only a superb plantsman, Troy is a garden communicator who has been a cohost of Nashville Public Television’s hit gardening show Volunteer Gardener for more than ten years. Marden writes regularly for some of the country’s top gardening magazines, and Troy’s blog, Gardener Cook, has become popular with plant lovers and food lovers alike. His latest venture, launched in late 2012, is a garden tour division of his business that will take other passionate gardeners on trips to some of the finest horticultural destinations in the United States and around the world. Troy lives on a large property in Middle Tennessee near the tiny hamlet of Primm Springs, where he cultivates a large ornamental garden and fights off coyotes, bobcats, snakes, and hawks. Not to mention rabbits.
