1.4    Summary

SAP BW/4HANA is new software, not just a continuation of the SAP BW software. To move to SAP BW/4HANA will require more work than just a system upgrade, as a lot of legacy SAP BW functionality is no longer available in SAP BW/4HANA. It’s also important to note that the legacy SAP BW software is still supported on databases other than SAP HANA, whereas SAP BW/4HANA is only supported on the SAP HANA platform.
