Berry Smoothie Bowl with Pear

My favorite desserts tend to be the most natural, which make fruit-heavy options my favorite. Smoothie bowls are a good choice because they remind me of ice cream, and you can also fill them up with toppings, which you can’t do when they’re in a glass. All you need are frozen bananas and your choice of accompanying fruit, as well as any other nuts and seeds to top it off, and you’ve got yourself a healthy rival to ice cream or frozen yogurt.

Serves 2

Ingredients for Smoothie

3 frozen bananas

12 cup raspberries

12 cup strawberries

13 cup unsweetened almond milk

Ingredients for Toppings

1 pear

7 or 8 raspberries

1 tablespoon chia seeds

1 tablespoon pomegranate seeds

5 or 6 blackberries

  1. Combine frozen bananas, raspberries, strawberries, and almond milk in a blender and blend together until smooth. Pour into a bowl.
  2. To spiralize pear, remove stem, cut off both ends, and spiralize using a small-noodle blade. Place in the corner of your bowl. Add topping ingredients in a diagonal line, starting with raspberries and ending with blackberries. Serve immediately.

Breakfast Bowl

If you want to turn your smoothie bowl into a breakfast bowl, consider adding some greens or nuts to give you a morning boost of nutrition.
