I WENT TO THE LITERARY cafe again
like I did twenty years ago and
felt just the same
what am I doing here
like a Japanese among Chinese
talking to people that seem transparent
never understood all these writers and poets
making themselves important
and being so ridiculous
guess that's the way I look to them
and most of the time to myself too
ridiculous.
It's just that everybody there has
read something I wrote and forgot
in a literary magazine
and liked it
the wonder is the editors don't come
or a fucking literary prize
no I am not looking for honor
I fucking need the money
you get me out there?
