WHO HELPED?

One of the most fun parts of writing a book is working with experts who know stuff I don’t. I mean, seriously, how much time have I spent surfing or practicing law? These are the pros who helped me make Boyfriends, Burritos & an Ocean of Trouble feel like real life:

Joseph A. Davidow, Trial Attorney, who helped me sculpt the courtroom scenes and found a way for justice to be served when it didn’t look like it could go that way.

Coach Lee Painter and the students of Friendship Christian School, Lebanon, TN, who let me hang out with them and get caught up on current teen vocabulary. I love the way y’all talk!

Dustin Boshart, Surf Station, St. Augustine, FL, who gave me a hilarious surfing lesson and helped me catch both waves in the ocean and mistakes in the manuscript.

Rebecca Ferguson RN, MSN, APN-BC and Benjamin A. Smallheer PH.D. MSN (Master of Science in Nursing), ANP (Acute Care Nurse Practitioner), who guided me through the hospital scenes with their real-life experiences

Phil and Pat Hatcher and Kacky Fell, my traveling-to-the-beach companions and cheerleading squad for my surfing adventure. You’ll see Phil’s professional photo on the back of this book.

Cory Moore, whose teen-ness and talent as a writer himself made all the details true to life.

The Rev. Gail Seavey, who shared her own visions with me and helped me to see Bryn’s.
