It Takes a Universe

Your very existence depends on your lungs and the oxygen they pump through your body. And while it is true that your body produces a variety of gases, oxygen isn’t one of them. Plants and trees produce oxygen. If your existence depends on your lungs and your lungs depend on oxygen and oxygen depends on plants and trees, then plants and trees are you the same way your lungs are you. To produce oxygen, plants and trees need earth, water, and sunlight, so the earth, sky, and sun are also you. If plants and trees are to thrive, the sun and the earth need to maintain a certain distance from one another, and that requires the rest of the solar system to bend space just so. So the solar system too is your body.

As sparks arise from a blazing fire, so all beings arise from and return to the One.

Mundaka Upanishad 2.1.1

We could go on, and if we did, in time you would know that it takes a universe for you to be you.
