The coelacanth, being a fish, is not a dinosaur. But it is an example of an animal that not only existed during the time of the dinosaurs, but is still living today, 65 million years later! It is a deep-water fish that remained hidden in the depths until it was rediscovered by modern scientists in 1938.
1Fold in half diagonally and unfold.

13Fold the tip inward, tucking it under the flaps.
14Fold the nose tip in. Then fold the fin edges in.
15Inside reverse fold to form the mouth. Turn the model over.
16Pleat fold to form the eye.
17Mountain fold the fins.
18Make alternating mountain and valley folds so the tail zigzags.
19Unfold the tail.
20Shape the dorsal fin with an inside reverse fold. Repeat on the lower fin.
