William A. Schiemann, Ph.D. and MBA, is Chief Executive Officer of Metrus Group (www.metrus.com) in Somerville, New Jersey. Dr. Schiemann and his firm are known for their pioneering work in the creation of performance gauges and scorecards to measure strategy implementation, and for establishing linkages between employee, customer, and financial outcomes. His team has led many of the developments in employee surveys, including the development of strategic surveys.
Bill is also co-author of Bullseye!: Hitting Your Strategic Targets Through High-Impact Measurement and the author of Reinventing Talent Management: How to Maximize Performance in the New Marketplace. He has also written extensively for many publications, including Across the Board, Applied Psychology, Journal of Business Strategy, Cost Management, Journal ofStrategic Performance Measurement, Management Review, and Quality Progress.
Prior to the founding of Metrus Group, Inc. in 1988, Dr. Schiemann was Senior Vice President with Sirota & Alper Associates and Vice President of Opinion Research Corporation. He has also served as an organizational consultant with AT&T, and prior to that, was on the business school faculties at Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of Iowa. He served for six years on the Board of the SHRM Foundation, and as Chair of that Board in 2010. He is a Fellow of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP).
