If you have found the practices in this book helpful, you may want to consider developing your practice through further reading and perhaps attending a course or joining a sitting group. Always practicing on your own in isolation is challenging.
If you wish to establish a daily practice, a course is the best way to do this. There is much to be gained from sharing your experience and learning with others, and the guidance of a teacher can be particularly helpful. If you want to look for groups local to you, search for MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction), MBCT (Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy) and/or Vipassana or insight meditation. The first two are secular, the third is part of the Buddhist tradition—sitting groups are often linked to a specific Buddhist order.
There are many books about mindfulness meditation techniques, mindfulness for specific groups, such as cancer, anxiety, eating disorders, and so on, as well as different forms of Buddhist meditation. I have listed a few specific titles opposite, but many of these authors have produced other great books, too. I have also listed some authors you might like to explore. Many authors produce audio books, which often include guided meditations, and these can be particularly helpful.
