Alanna Morgan—She spent most of her childhood with people who kidnapped her. When she turned them in, she thought she’d never return to Alaska. But when the woman who pretended to be her mother escapes from jail—and grabs more kids—Alanna thinks it’s her duty to help. Peter Robak—The rookie police officer thinks Alanna can help him prove himself by leading him to the kidnapper. But as he falls for her, he may have to make a choice: Alanna’s life or the children.
