I’d like to first start off by thanking you, my readers, for picking up my book. You have made this girl very happy because being an author and sharing my writing with the world has been a dream of mine for as far back as I can remember. Let’s be real, though, without you picking up my book and getting absorbed in the fictional world I created, it’d be nothing. Now, it’s a dream come true.

 

Deacon and Jenna’s story holds a very special place in my heart, one reason being there are many people I know who yearn for a second chance whether in love, friendship, or a family relationship. You can’t go back, so all we can do is move forward. Someone very special to me once not-so-gently told me that the past is just that, the past, and the only thing living in the past was going to do was create regrets in the future. I’ll never forget those words and I appreciate them more than they’ll ever know. No credit needed, you know who you are if you’re reading this.

 

Thank you to Kala, who always told me she believed in me and that I could do anything I put my mind to. Your unwavering support is everything to me.

 

Thank you to Mariah, who knew I was a closed door, low spice author even before I did. What can I say?! I just wasn’t sure, but like with most things, I should learn to listen to you more often. Your heart is always in the right place and you are one of the most caring people I know. You also have an incredible eye for detail.

 

Thank you to Anna, who is a bad ass in every way. You push me to be better. This is a journey I would never go on without you.

 

Thank you to AJ, who is no longer in my life, but I hope that wherever you are, you’re at peace and happy. The unconditional love you gave me was something I never thought I needed until I no longer had it. I’ll never forget the way you raised your brow and asked: “You’re not going to give up on your dreams, are you?” No, AJ, I’m not going to give up on my dreams. Thank you for the confidence you always had in me.
