May 30, 1431. A young woman of the age of nineteen was burned at the stake about being found guilty of many things including participating in witchcraft. At the time, she was hated and seen as a monster, but by 1920 she was made to be a saint. To many, she was known by many as Joan of Arc.

☆☆☆

I didn’t find myself being inspired by many of the humans’ stories, though I was inspired by Joan of Arc. Her leadership abilities were something that I could only dream of achieving. Sure, some of our views on things didn’t match, but that was neither here nor there. I was under the belief that you didn’t have to completely agree with someone on everything in order to be inspired by them for one reason or another.

Nevertheless, I tended to take the humans’ stories with a grain of salt - especially those that pertained to witches. For the most part, they didn’t know what they were talking about and they seemed to have this obsession with all witches being burned to death. It’s true that many witches - or at the very least those that were accused of being witches - were burned, but that was not the primary method.

When compared to the others, my visions tended to be triggered by things much more frequently. Nadia, Priamos, and Spencer knew that being outside at night was a major trigger, but apparently fire was another. For some of my memories, it made sense, but it didn’t with others.

Oh well, I suppose triggers and visions weren’t always supposed to make sense.
