It didn’t take us long to decide that the world beyond the now non-existent barrier would have to wait and we all hurried back to the main part of Wolf’s Hollow. None of us could teleport, so that meant that we all were basically out of breath from running when we finally got to the town square where the fire was.
Nadia and I were the first to make it to the source, barely stopping in time to not run into the crowd in front of us. I jumped slightly when I felt a hand on my waist and turned to see Tempest staring at the ground with his hands in his pockets and a scarlet red color to his cheeks. I allowed myself to crack a small smile before going back to what was going on in front of us.
Red and orange filled my vision as I watched. The shelter that Serena had made for all of those people that were made homeless because of her actions was now on fire. And everyone was still inside.
Spencer started to try to cut through the crowd to get inside, but Nadia and I stopped him. We wanted to go, too, but there was no point. It was too late.
Nadia glanced back behind her check on the other two and nudged me and Spencer with her elbows, “Where’s Priamos and Tempest?”
