Welcome to Cook County!
I wrote the first version of this story back in 2013. While writing Second Chance Cowboy, it became clear Lucky had a story of his own to tell, and the cowboy deserved a break.
Fun Fact: I wrote several chapters of his story before I realized I’d set him up with the wrong woman. I trashed everything, started over, and gave him a woman who could handle him while bringing out the best in him.
No author wants to throw away over a hundred pages they’ve worked on, but I’m sure glad I did. Lucky and Cammie deserved the best.
