Part biomechanist, part science communicator, and full-time mover, Katy Bowman has educated hundreds of thousands of people on the role movement plays in the body and in the world. Blending a scientific approach with straight talk about sensible, whole-life movement solutions, her website and award-winning podcast, Katy Says, reach hundreds of thousands of people every month, and thousands have taken her live classes.

Her books, the bestselling Move Your DNA, Movement Matters, Simple Steps to Foot Pain Relief, Diastasis Recti, Don’t Just Sit There, Whole Body Barefoot, Alignment Matters, and Every Woman’s Guide to Foot Pain Relief, have been critically acclaimed and translated worldwide.

Passionate about human movement outside of exercise, Katy volunteers her time to support the larger reintegration of movement into human lives by providing movement courses across widely varying demographics and working with non-profits promoting nature education. She also directs and teaches at the Nutritious Movement™ Center Northwest in Washington state, travels the globe to teach Nutritious Movement courses in person, and spends as much time outside as possible with her husband and children.

In her seventy-ninth year, Joan Virginia Allen is experiencing dynamic aging in her teaching, hiking, tree climbing and hanging, and sharing her vitality and joie de vivre with her husband, children, grandchildren, siblings, and friends. Joan is a retired attorney, actress, author, and speaker who lives in Ojai, California.

Shelah Wilgus is a graphic designer, fiber artist, and aspiring photographer who’s trying to save the planet by promoting a plant-based lifestyle and teaching vegan cooking classes. She loves working with older people (she is one), digitally restoring old photographs, exploring the world on her two feet, and doing the Calf Stretch. She lives in Ventura, California.

Joyce Faber is a passionate third-generation teacher, mother, stepmother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her lifelong love of teaching has evolved from avidly seeking/teaching wisdom and health to living with mobility into her eighties practicing whole-body movement. She enjoys passing on what she’s learned from Katy Bowman, teaching senior classes, and hiking in the outdoors with friends and family. She lives in Ventura, California.

Lora Woods is beginning her seventy-sixth year on earth, now older than any known progenitor. She works hard to do right by the earth, while the stars in her personal universe are Randy, Amanda and Thomas Sherren. Lora lives in Ojai, California, where everything is accessible by foot and hiking is awesome.
