Sant kabir

Sant Kabir was a great poet Saint, whose writings greatly influenced the Bhakti movement of India. He firmly believed that all human beings are equal and that attaining love for God is the ultimate aim of every individual. His immense devotion and faith towards the Supreme Lord is lucidly expressed in his teachings and writings.

EARLY LIFE

There is much debate about the date of birth and early childhood of Kabir. It is said that he was born in 1398 A.D., and that his real mother was brahmin widow. However, for some reason, she abandoned him after his birth. He was found on a lotus leaf by Niru, a Muslim weaver, and his wife Nima, who brought him up with great care and affection.
