My jug full of blue water
and suns.
I knew I would burn
that’s why I didn’t partake of it.
Not until the moon
dug itself under the fjord
and the snow.
Then I warmed myself up.
With blue water and suns.
*
Had been alone longer than I suspected
and dusted off the tablecloth.
No tracks in the snow,
the road gone off with a ship.
The tablecloth orange coloured sometimes.
And the gate fixed to the sky.
Had been alone longer than I suspected
tending to my tasks.
My jug full of blue water
awaited me at the table.
And as I swept the floors I looked over there.
At the suns floating down and up.
I swept and cocked my eyes.
At my jug that was full of
blue water and suns.
*
You know I won’t abandon you.
Though you’ll come no closer I won’t abandon you.
*
Silence inside, silence outside.
In hard snow and broken sky.
When the moon ploughs.
Into the snow that had settled
longer ago than I suspected.
