33:12-23 Intimacy with God Faced with the monumental responsibility of leading one million people to the Promised Land, Moses sought assurance of God’s ongoing presence. In his gracious response, God revealed himself as merciful and compassionate, promising to go “personally” with Moses and comforting him with the knowledge that God knew him by name. As we face our long journeys of faith, we also can find comfort in the fact that we are known intimately by God.
