30:1-6 Failure We mess up. God knows this, and he has chosen to be gracious and compassionate toward us. When we admit our sin and surrender to him, God promises to change our hearts and make us able to love him and live for him. Even when we are in the middle of great affliction, we can trust him for help!

30:11-14 Walking with God What comfort we find in these verses! We don’t need to have fancy college degrees to understand what God tells us in the Bible. The good news of a relationship with God is for everyone, not just for the smartest and the best. When we fill our hearts and minds with God’s Word, he will show us how to live for him.

30:17-20 Rebellion The important verbs here are turn away and refuse. When we rebel in stubbornness, the good life God promises will not be ours. But God graciously gives us a choice to love and follow him in obedience. Loving God is the key to life, no matter our outward circumstances!
