16:21-30 Power in Weakness In an attempt to control Samson, the Philistines removed his eyes. He had already lost his physical strength, but this demonstrated that he was fully under their control. The Philistines believed their god Dagon had given them victory. They didn’t know that God’s power works best in weakness (2 Cor 12:9). With Samson’s simple prayer, “Sovereign LORD, remember me again” (Judg 16:28), God brought down the entire Philistine nation through the final act of a man who was thought of as weak because he was blind.
