Many of the Jewish exiles chose to remain in their new foreign environment rather than face the unknown and make the difficult journey back to their homeland. Although a second chance did come for those who had initially chosen to stay in Persia, it took 80 years. We must not let the fear of the unknown paralyze us or make us settle for less than God’s best for us.
