8:15-17 Praying for Co-laborers When the long-awaited permission to return to the Promised Land came, thousands of people joined the second caravan headed for Jerusalem. But not one Levite had committed to return with Ezra, and Temple worship required the service of many Levites. Rather than becoming disheartened or frustrated, Ezra demonstrated faith in action by seeking the help of godly leaders. When we feel overwhelmed or ill-equipped, we are wise to pray and ask others to suggest suitable helpers.
