13:1-31 Passion for God In the face of the people’s shortsightedness and backsliding, Nehemiah took decisive action. Questions, doubts, and fears often turn people away from the things of God and toward sin and suffering. Nehemiah’s methods may have been unique to his circumstances, but we should always be as passionate as he was to point people toward the God who is eager to rebuild the “walls” of their lives and fulfill his loving plan for them.
