16:23 Unexpected Words of Wisdom Speech is something most of us take for granted. Words began multiplying in our brains at an early age, and shortly thereafter we learned the art of persuasion. However, many adults and children with developmental or intellectual disabilities are nonverbal; others can speak, but only with great effort; and some use a message board or computerized devices. Even though communicating is a significant challenge, their minds are often sharp and full of wisdom. How often do we take the time to slow down and listen to these precious friends? Their wisdom might just change our lives.
