26:4-5 Foolish Arguments Although some people will tell you differently, it is a mistake to assume that disability is necessarily or always the direct consequence of personal, familial, or ancestral sin, or that it is a curse. God often allows disability to enter our lives for reasons unrelated to any sin in order to accomplish his good and sovereign purposes. Don’t get caught up in arguments with people who want to insist on taking up a foolish view, but don’t hesitate to correct their mistaken arguments with wisdom and truth.
