4:10 The Delight of Love God designed the marriage relationship between a man and a woman to be one of mutual delight in one another, reflecting the eternal fellowship among the persons of the Trinity. As the Father loves the Son and finds “great joy” in him (Matt 3:17), so husbands and wives are intended to see the very best in each other and to derive pleasure from their relationship.
