23:37-38 Weeping over Jerusalem Christ was capable of expressing deep emotion for the things that mattered most to him. When he wept over Jerusalem, it was not the stone walls or wooden gates for which he had deep affection but rather the residents of the city where God had chosen for his name to be honored (Deut 12:5). God loves people!
