4:13 Ordinary People, Extraordinary Purpose Peter and John were “ordinary men” who had known Jesus; as a result, they were transformed into bold witnesses for the gospel. Note that what made the difference was their having “been with” Jesus, not being highly educated, skilled, or otherwise credentialed. God can use anyone—young or old, healthy or sick, able or disabled—to represent him and to accomplish his purposes.

4:29 Boldness in the Face of Opposition When we pursue Kingdom purposes, we are bound to face opposition. Our response should be to pray—as the early believers did—for boldness. This is a prayer that God delights in answering.
