7:59-60 “Father, Forgive Them” Stephen followed the model set by Jesus, whose complete submission to and trust in his Father’s will moved him to extend forgiveness to those who were crucifying him. As Christ-followers, we should pray for those who impose suffering upon us, asking the Lord to show the same mercy to them that he has showered upon us.
