3:8-9 Revealing God’s Plan God chose Paul and gave him special favor and power in order to communicate God’s plan of salvation to the Gentiles. Like Paul, we are all chosen to participate in sharing the Good News. God’s favor rests on you for your unique role in reaching out to those you can influence. The key to Paul’s success was his attitude of complete dependence on God and recognition of God’s grace. Like Paul, will you surrender your successes, failures, strengths, and limitations to be fully used by God?

3:14-21 Beyond Our Imagination Paul uses strong, descriptive words to communicate just how empowering the Holy Spirit is in our lives: “unlimited resources . . . inner strength” (3:16), “power to understand” (3:18), “mighty power” (3:20). Don’t miss Paul’s emphasis on how limitless God’s love for us is and how he wants to work through us. No suffering, disability, or life circumstance can short-circuit this power in your life as long as you stay connected to the source: the Holy Spirit.
