F ingerless Mittens
So that they made a cute matching set, I used the same 5mm hook and chunky yarn as the neck wrap, but chose a lovely green colour.
I used double crochet again as it is a nice, dense stitch and ideal for winter garments, but you can try any stitch you like for these easy fingerless mittens.
You simply crochet a wide rectangle for each mitten, then fold over and stitch together – it couldn’t be easier!
Chain 20. Check that the chain wraps all around the widest point of your hand – if not, add extra chain until it does.
Double crochet each row until you have created a wide rectangle that reaches from your knuckle area, down to about 2.5cm/1 in. below your wrist(see illustration below). Fasten off.
Repeat for second mitten, then sew each mitten together, inside out, following the illustrations below. Turn right sides out when finished.
