ACKNOWLEDGMENT

Have you ever woken up from a dream and tried to describe it to someone? It’s really hard. They can’t see what you saw, or feel what you felt.

Writing a novel’s a lot like that. Every writer needs help re-telling their dream. Here’s who helped me with this dream:

My editor, Lora Doncea. She is steadfast, kind, and detail-focused, Lora holds me accountable. And I’m fortunate—not lucky!—to call her my friend. Without her, this book might not exist.

It also wouldn’t exist without the guys in my house—Joe, Daniel, and Nico. They let me serve them frozen pizza more nights than I care to admit, and accept with good humor all the times I can’t find my phone, car keys, or clean clothes. I love them with all my heart.

And I’m grateful to you, the reader, for coming on this journey with Raleigh Harmon.

As W.H. Auden once wrote: “Let your last thinks all be thanks.”
