Later, in the Batcave, Batman used his Batcomputer to analyze the night’s crimes. Between Silverback and Man-Bat, Cheetah and Croc, and those Cyber Animals, he wondered if there was something bigger at play.
“You always say there’s a pattern,” Red Robin observed. “So, what’s the pattern?”
Batman mapped out the Animilitia’s crimes on a map of Gotham City. Eleven dots flashed on the screen. They formed a circle around the Aviary Building—the city’s newest, tallest building built by a wealthy investor named Oswald Cobblepot.
A few hours later, Bruce Wayne arrived at the high-society party for the grand opening of the Aviary Building. There, he met Oliver Queen, who secretly fought crime as Green Arrow. They listened as Oswald Cobblepot welcomed everyone.
“You were promised surprises tonight,” said Cobblepot. “And here they are!”
