About the Authors

Peter Nealen is a former Reconnaissance Marine and veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan. He deployed to Iraq in 2005–2006, and again in 2007, with 1st Platoon, Bravo Company, 1st Recon Bn. After two years of schools and workups, including Scout Sniper Basic and Team Leader’s Courses, he deployed to Afghanistan with 4th Platoon, Force Reconnaissance Company, I MEF. He is now the author of the military thrillers Task Force Desperate, Hunting in the Shadows, and Alone and Unafraid. Nealen also authored the Wall Street Journal bestseller and SOFREP original book Operation Red Wings: The Rescue Story Behind Lone Survivor, and is the USMC editor for SOFREP.com.

Jack Murphy is an eight-year Army Special Operations veteran who served as a Sniper and Team Leader in 3rd Ranger Battalion and as a Senior Weapons Sergeant on a Military Free Fall team in 5th Special Forces Group. Having left the military in 2010, he recently finished a degree in Political Science at Columbia University. Murphy is a New York Times bestselling author (Benghazi: The Definitive Report) and the author of Reflexive Fire, Target Deck, the PROMIS series, and numerous nonfiction articles about weapons, tactics, special operations, terrorism, and counterterrorism. He has appeared in documentaries, national television, syndicated radio, and currently serves as the editor-in-chief of SOFREP.com.

Brandon Webb is a former U.S. Navy SEAL with combat deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. During his last tour he served as the sniper Course Manager at the Naval Special Warfare Center. He is the President of Force12 Media, cofounder of SOFREP.com, and the editor-in-chief of SpecialOperations.com. Webb is a New York Times bestselling author (The Red Circle and Benghazi: The Definitive Report) and regularly appears on national news media as a subject matter expert on weapons, terrorism, and special operations issues.
