MORE ABOUT LACROSSE FIELDS
A lacrosse field is divided into six key areas:
- Attack/Defensive Areas — the areas on the ends of the field where offensive players try to score goals and defensive players try to prevent goals
- Goal — a 6-foot (1.8-meters) square opening enclosed by a net
- Crease — the circular area around the goal; offensive players are not allowed to enter the crease
- Midfield line — the line in the center of the field separating the offensive and defensive ends; face-offs occur in the center of the midfield line
- Wing Area — the areas were two of the three midfielders must stand until a face-off starts
- Penalty box — the area where players go to wait out their penalties
