Serves 8 to 10
1 loaf white bread, cubed and divided
8-oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened and cubed
10 eggs, beaten
1-1/2 c. half-and-half
1/2 c. butter, melted
1/4 c. maple syrup
Layer half the bread in a greased 13"x9" baking pan; top with cream cheese. Place remaining bread over the top; set aside. Beat eggs, half-and-half, butter and syrup together; pour over bread. Refrigerate overnight; bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes.
Tuck odds & ends of leftover sliced bread, croissants and even cinnamon rolls into a freezer container. Before long, you’ll have enough for delicious French toast!
