Get Out of Town

You’ve seen the Eiffel Tower, Sacre Coeur, and the Seine, and now you’re ready to venture out and see what lies beyond la périphérique. So, what is there to do and see out there? Plenty! From vegetarian B&Bs to Europe’s largest Buddhist temple, there’s something for everyone. Take a seat on a regional train (or a high-speed TGV) and make a day trip to one of these fun, food-oriented destinations, most of which are within three hours of Paris.

French telephone numbers are 8 digits, prefixed with:

01 Île de France (Paris and surrounding area)

02 North West

03 North East

04 South East

05 South West

06, 07 Mobile numbers

When dialling from abroad drop the 0 and use the country code 33.

When in France dialling from a landline, just dial the last 8 digits if you’re in that area.
