LADEE HUBBARD, who studied under Toni Morrison at Princeton University, is the author of the 2017 debut novel The Talented Ribkins, which was an Indie Next pick and won the Hurston/Wright Legacy Award for Debut Novel, a Rona Jaffe Foundation Writers’ Award, the Ernest J. Gaines Award for Literary Excellence, and the William Faulkner-William Wisdom Creative Writing Competition. Hubbard is a 2019 MacDowell Colony fellow. Born in Massachusetts and raised in the US Virgin Islands and Florida, she currently lives in New Orleans with her husband and three children.
