Stress Level and Change of Teaching Style

Looking back, I really wish that Stanford had advertised the peer tutors that were all over campus more. As a young freshman, I was not aware of their presence. I remember struggling with Math courses because Philippine math did not match up to the U.S. level of math.

I had never touched calculus until I came to Stanford, and I wish that someone had told me about the peer tutors. Similarly, I was unaccustomed to the writing style necessary for all the Introductory writing classes I had to take. Moral of the Story: It’s definitely good advice to get to know the tutoring resources on campus.
